In some of my saves, the game returns to the beginning, in others an error appears. I tried to restart the game and I get this message after talking to the owner of the cheapest inn (the same thing happens to me in another save)
Fixed the error, was changing some stuff and accidentally broke it lol.
About the saves... it may break if you save at the state page or if you enter stat page, leave it and save then without advancing to a new page/making a choice. I'm working on locking the save function during these times, but for now there is nothing I can do =(
Hii! I've encountered a bug in the new version where when you attempt to save (while playing in browser) and then load back to said save, the game immediately freezes. After refreshing the website, the game resets, your save is still there, however the same bug happens when trying to load again. It seems to do the same when downloading it, however when you download it, the game will not acknowledge your save and will not load it.
Did you save during stat page / after you opened stat page and haven't clicked 'next page' or made a choice?
Sadly due to how stat page works in CS, saves tend to break if you do so. I'm working on trying to prevent you from saving during these moments, but it'll take me some time
I saved during a choice, so thats probably why. I tried again after restarting the game and the same issue still occured. Thank you for the reply!! ^^ also I'm not sure if this only happens for mobile as that's what I'm using.
During the tourney fight against Tang Ruo, there is a glitch where it makes me fail the the option "try to hit him with strikes" despite having 8 agilty, 2 more than what is required . When I try to sweep his leg which requires 8 agility, I pass.
I didn't. And it only ever happened in this one instance. I have finished the game yet, but I've made up to middle houtian and haven't had another instance of something like this happening
A great start to something that could (have) be(en) terribly ambitious. The sheer amount of world building done to create a background of characters, places, factions, artifacts and relations which never appear but are mentioned in passing, is enormous. Unfortunately, it also suffers from some serious flaws:
Given CoG's bizarre obsession with not wanting to make ChoiceScript user-friendly, a back-button and the ability to export saves were always pretty much out of the question.

The game isn't consistent about whether Tigress is from the East or from the West.
If you hope that Tigress is okay after getting injured during the Outer Disciple tournament, the game says you can challenge Long Wyoung. But if you then go to the Arena Administrative Building, it says you can only issue ranked challenges, not personal ones.
The game tells you the Ro Hui/Hyi is the "Mistress/Little Demon Queen", but then doesn't give you any options acknowledging this (You can only either go along with them apparently without recognizing them, or you can express disinterest in the disciples' lives without recognizing them).

When does the game tell you that Ro Hyi is the Little Demon Queen? MC is only suspicious about their mask in their initial meeting but realizes something was truly wrong when they encounter the pile of corpses in the cave and sees Ro Hyi among the list of dead disciples. I might be misremembering this detail though, perhaps the game did namedrop her true identity.
If the game tells you that you can now challenge Long Wyoung, while you can't actually do so in the current build, then I would call that a (small) flaw in the current build, since that line could have just been commented out until it gets updated.
If you pass a check (INT iirc, but I'm not clicking through the whole game to make sure :p) with the correct degree of success, when she tries to convince MC to follow her to the cave, then MC lists several similarities between Ro Huy/Hyi and the "Mistress/Little Demon Queen" (e.g. androgynous, wears mask to hide deformed face, etc.). So that comparison strongly suggests to me that MC recognizes her suspects her identity.
The save function in this is very temperamental, as others have said when you go to the info screen for Characters the Save data gets stuck inside that menu regardless of if you saved in that menu or not. Meaning whenever you load the game you will load in that menu and never be able to get out of it, essentially breaking the game.
This has happened multiple times to me now and it's very aggravating. I can't keep restarting the game all over again just because the save system is broken so I'll just wait until the game is much further along that it currently is in development in the hopes it gets fixed x-x
Or you can just try to be careful of when you save and try not to use the character menu alot🤷🏽♂️cause i doubt its gonna get fixed any time soon since its a problem that happens on other games to

I think probably you need to at least 8 agility & constitution + 3 perception, so you need at least 20exp in the beginning, which, thankfully you can get even with trash talent.
With those you should be able to survive the previous competitions & advance to Tang Ruo, after which I think you’ll be able to endure.
When he tries to hit your leg, it won’t break, after that when you wants to hit you again you lean away from it, then you say you won’t surrender, yada yada yada. You get the gist of it.
I haven’t tried it so I don’t know.
Battle sense would probably also be good to have, if possible.
Well thanks so much for pointing me in right direction! so hard to believe but i managed to beat Tang Ruo with trash level talent in the tournament! but the combination i used was strength 3, agility 8, constitution 1, vitality 10, perception 1, and i used 22 exp and 5.5 points to to get that plus regeneration and good-looking plus ambidextrous. used random checks and saved the robes special ability fathers love for Tang Rou and boom won 1st place so nearly gotta get a perfect in the first two fights and then semi perfect in final fight Really Really lucky and a little of save scumming! idk other combinations tho. (didnt believe it myself so did it again before i comment peace and love)
Awesome, I tried a couple things but got tired tbh, I might end up using your method some time.
I already got as far as the game goes rn but next update I’ll probably start over, in which case, I also really like underdog characters so I’ll probably make one of those.
I adore MCs who have trash talent but then become better than everyone & OP & all that.
I made my current character a woman, called her Wu Xiu, & mainly been making her a very neutral very honorable type who is polite, seems sweet, but is cunning.
Once this game is complete & there is a lot more content I’ll probably start exploring a lot.
I’d love to make multiple different characters with very different personalities.
Btw, I’d also recommend trying out Uroboros, there is only one chapter out & its on itch. Its not really related to this game in any way nor similar but I found it fun.
i cant save my game cant delete i cant do anything basically i cant save or load after a mistake i do so once my character dies i cant load the save it says Error: Bad slot-has Smplugin been included? it happens on the Web version of the game which was the only thing that made me quit the game since i cant load or delete a save that is not working at all but the game by itself is good i dont know if its only me with this problem hope its fixed
Best solution is a download. On device saves don't disappear unless the end user screws up, many end users (myself included) don't bother with anything that we can't download for exactly that reason as well as a dozen others.
I have a question in what sense is the library, arena, etc. A free roam if the story advances based on days and time progression? Or can I still continue playing the game after I've finished all the events in the current update

Man, I really want to see the continuation of this.
Maybe there could be some "fortuitous" encounters ; ) or maybe dangerous situations you can opt out of like secret tombs that give the chance to aquire something if you solve a riddle, make the right choices or solve a puzzle; you could get some martial arts, artifacts, or a simple upgrade to your atributes.
It's just a sugestion, what you have done to this point is really cool and I would love to see what it leads to.

Make sure to not enter the menu section whenever saving or else when u load the save it will take u to the menu where you'll be stuck

Choicescript doesn't include a save feature. You can try the dashingdon version, it should have persistent saves

Should be fixed, I think.
The ONLY fix is a download, all other solutions wipe everyones saves every time you update it.
Technical limitation, it just is what it is.
